Rick Perry: Did I REALLY Just Watch That?

If anyone hasn't seen Rick Perry's newest campaign ad, here it is for your viewing enjoyment.

My first thought: Did I really just watch that video? Did that actually happen? This is without a doubt the stupidest campagin ad I've ever seen.

Not only is he broadcasting to all of America his homophobia, this was also very obviously desperate move on Rick Perry's part. He's using his Faith as his entire campaign. He's expecting people to vote for him singularly on the fact that he is a christian and he will "Christianize" America. And the sad part is, people are actually going to vote for him based just on that point in his campaign.

Anyone that votes for him that has seen this ad is most likely just a mindless follower. I totally respect other religions and beliefs, but not when you hide behind it in order to be prejudiced and hateful. This is an unabated attack ad, it is apologetically prejudiced and absolutely inappropriate. I thought we as a nation had moved past spewing mindless hate mongering, but I guess not.

Rick Perry is like the perfect example of what we're trying to fight against. He does not stand for Christianity. He doesn't stand for Religion. He stands for Hate, Stupidity, and Ignorance.

But with the amount of dislikes on this new video, currently at over 370,000, I would say that most of America agrees with me and we don't really have to worry about this bigot having any place in our government.

And to end on a less serious note, thank you so much tumblr for these gifs

What I don't like about Dungeons & Dragons Online

I've been pretty bored with life lately, so usually that means it's time to go find a free MMO. After my awesome time with LOTRO, I thought I'd try out Turbine's other big Free MMO: DDO.
Needless to say, I'm a little disappointed, and here's why.

After the incredible atmosphere and creativity of lotro, I had pretty high hopes for this title. However I didn't really get that same feeling of immersion. lotro immediately drew me in and hooked me, although that could be partly chalked up to the fact that I am an avid lord of the rings fan to begin with.

Also, even though ddo is a "free" game, I couldn't help but feel like there was an ad for spending real money (a.k.a. turbine points) around every corner. It seemed like every quest or dialogue I initiated came with a friendly reminder that I should buy something from the turbine store.

Brink

This weekend on Steam, Brink is free to play. I'd heard a lot of bad things about it... but it was free, so I thought I'd try it out.
The entire campaign only took about a night to beat, and the story was downright awful. I would not recommend buying this game, because it will not last very long. Unless you get really into the multiplayer. But it was fun to play for about a day, so if you haven't played this game you can go download it for free on Steam until 1pm on Sunday (: I do have to admit though, the character customization options are stellar. I for one am a huge fan of being able to fine tune your characters, and while you can't really mess around much with your actual character, there are some really cool costume options, including gasmasks!! In this game you can choose to be either a rebel or a security guard (There are seperate "stories" for each faction, so I made one of each) so here's pictures of the characters I made ;D
That's my Rebel character (he looks kinda like he came out of Arkham Asylum haha)
And there's my security character (surprisingly I ended up liking him better. I think it was because of the gas mask)

andd here's my gasmask character being a badass about to shoot someone
So basically, if you like fps' and gas masks, you should probably download this game because it's free and it's fun to play for a while. It's really not as bad as everyone says it is; although the way the story is told is pretty awful. I would just definitely not recommend spending money on this, unless you really really like it.

plotting my singing roomates's demise and s/t

I couldn't decide whether to make this blog more of a personal blog or a professional one, but seeing as how I have Zero subscribers, I think I've settled on the first option. So instead of marketing myself I'm just going to write randomly about my life and things I'm doing. If this blog ever starts getting attention then I'll start doing different stuff. I'll still be doing like online store reviews and things along those lines too, but I'm not going to sit here and picture spam if no one is going to even see it. So I'll just start writing random shiznit starting tomorrow.
~~

In the meantime, here is a picture of me being angry because my roommate won't stop singing and it is 3AM

Not that I would be sleeping anyway. Sorry my rage face is so attractive.

Jewelmint and Christmas Shopping

I just ordered some stuff on this designer jewelery site called JewelMint. It's a neat site because the pieces are pretty unique and designed by legitimate fashion designers.

I originally was just ordering my mom's christmas present, but then I saw that I'd get a half off deal for something else if I ordered one thing, so I went ahead and ordered myself something too =/

This is what I got for my mom:

I really like this so I hope she'll like it too (: It's a bracelet made out of rings, and it includes a ruby and an emerald. I just hope the quality is good because it's a little hard to tell from the picture.

And this is the one I got for myself... I thought it was pretty cool because I have an obsession with keys and keyholes (I've got Kingdom Hearts to thank for that)

I'll do a review of this site later on once I get the pieces and use their service more. If you decide to become a member now, be careful, because they do require your credit card number and will charge you every month if you don't log on every month and click the 'Skip Month' button. I would recommend checking out some of the items on here though, you are able to do that without putting in your CC info, and they've got some unique things. This whole order cost me $44.98, which seems a little pricy for just two pieces, but I did get a 50% discount on the second item. Although the jewelry itself is pretty expensive, the good thing about this site is that they never charge shipping.
